The fastest way to improve an AEO score is to put a 40 to 60 word direct answer at the top of the page, rewrite headings as questions and add an FAQ with FAQPage schema. Those three changes cover the highest-weighted AEO factors and usually take under an hour.
Quick wins (under an hour)
- Answer-first opening (weight 10). Start with the subject: "X is…", "X costs…". No "Welcome to…".
- Question headings (8). "Pricing" becomes "How much does it cost?".
- FAQPage schema (7). Mark up your visible FAQ.
- Lists and tables (6). Steps as numbered lists, comparisons as a table.
- Snippet eligibility (6). Remove nosnippet or max-snippet:0.
- Meta description (4). 120 to 160 characters stating what the page answers.
Medium effort
- Quotable passages (8). Rewrite key paragraphs as self-contained 40 to 60 word answers.
- Common questions (8). Add sections for the questions the report marks as missing.
- FAQ section (7). 4 to 8 real customer questions with short answers.
- Readability (6). Sentences under about 20 words.
