GEO Score Checker: will generative AI cite you?
Measure how likely ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot are to trust your page as a source. Get your GEO score with entity, trust and AI-crawler checks, plus your AEO score as a bonus.

- measure 22 factors
- ask AI how it reads your page
- compute AEO and GEO scores
Quick answer
A GEO score (Generative Engine Optimization score) rates from 0 to 100 how likely generative AI is to trust and cite a page. The biggest factors are allowing AI search crawlers, a clear Organization entity, specific facts, a named author and recent updates.
How to raise your GEO score fast
- Allow AI search bots: OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot, Googlebot and Bingbot.
- Declare your entity with Organization schema and sameAs links to official profiles.
- Show a named author and a visible updated date.
- Add specific facts and link them to authoritative sources.
- Say clearly who you are, what you offer, for whom and where, near the top of the page.

GEO score checker FAQ
What does a GEO score checker measure?
It measures how likely generative AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot are to trust and cite your page: AI crawler access, Organization entity and sameAs links, author, freshness, cited sources, factual density, content depth, llms.txt, trust pages and how clearly AI can identify who you are.
How is the GEO score calculated?
Each factor has a GEO weight. AI search bot access (9), Organization entity (8), factual density (8) and entity clarity (8) carry the most weight. The score is weighted points earned divided by points available. See all weights.
Why is my GEO score lower than my AEO score?
Usually because the page answers well but gives AI little reason to trust it as a source: no Organization schema, no named author, no date, no cited sources or blocked AI crawlers. The report's quick wins list the fastest fixes.
Does llms.txt affect my GEO score?
Slightly. llms.txt is an optional proposal that some AI tools read, so it carries a small weight (3). Crawler access and entity signals matter far more.
